The first stop is Khor Virap 7th century Monastery a well-known pilgrimage site for Armenians and Christians worldwide. The monastery was erected on a deep “pit” where Gregory the Illuminator remained imprisoned for 14 years, as he tried to spread the Christianity in Pagan Armenia. The next stop is Noravank monastery built in 13th century. The beautiful road through the canyon and the perfection of architecture of the monastery leaves one speechless. We are heading to Areni village. Archaeologists found the world’s oldest wineries in Areni region in Armenia, which are dating back to 6100 years. We will visit a nice winery where so you can see wine making process and taste a unique wine full of traditions. The last stop is in Dvin, the medieval capital of Armenia, where you can see the Cathedral of St.Grigor and visit the ancient Assyrian village.     Duration: 9 hours   Highlights of the Tour
